I often say to my clients when talking about nutrition and exercise that the exercise should be the fun part and the nutrition will be a bit more of a challenge.

Nutrition doesn’t have to be a chore but it usually means a change in eating habits.

You may have read a lot about what is right and wrong regarding nutrition. Over the years I have noticed that many people instictively know what food is good for them. Where they need help is around meal timings, exercise and portion size.

Keeping a food diary is a very simple but effective way of tracking your food, just having something written down on paper can change the ways you think about what you’re eating. I will study your food diary and workout a nutrition plan that fits in and around your lifestyle.

Some of my clients use the 'My Fitness Pal' (MFP) app, where I can dip in and see what's going on. MFP analyses macro-nutrients and helps monitor protien, fat and corbohydrate balance for individual foods and over given time periods.
